Picture frames, crown molding, and trim are all judged at the corners, and a corner is only as good as the angle it was cut at. This compact hand miter saw takes care of the angle. Its durable ABS plastic saw table has presets at 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 36°, 45°, and 90° built in for horizontal cuts, and the same six for vertical cuts. A two-way material clamp holds the workpiece, so it cannot shift under the blade, and a reading scale lets you measure and set the working length before you cut. The saw takes stock up to 6" tall. The 24" (600mm) blade is interchangeable, and the set includes replacement blades, so a dull one need not hold up the work. It is slower than a power miter saw. Every cut is yours, stroke by stroke, and for trim and framework that control is often the better trade. There is no motor to drown out the radio, either.
